The fist quote is when Jerry refuses again to sell the chocolates and someone is asking him why he wont sell the chocolates and he doesnt really know why he isnt selling them anymore he is just sticking to what he chose to do in the begining of the book. The second quote is Goober asking Jerry to take the chocolates because many of the kids are now also refusing to sell the chocolates along with Jerry. The third quote is Jerry saying how the Vigils arent forcing him to boycott the chocolate sale it is his own decision to not sell the chocolates.
The second quote is really good casuse it shows when the goobler is begging jerry to give up his boycott.
The second quote shows how Goober wants Jerry to sell the chocolates and stop refusing Brother Leon
The thrid quote is good because it shows how Jerry is now refuesing the choclates because he wants to and not doing it for the Vigils.
The third quote is showing that Jerry is no longer refusing to sell the chocolate because of The Vigils, it is just what he wants to do.
The second quote is important because Goober knows it is not a good decision to keep refusing to sell the chocolates and really tries to convince Jerry to sell the chocolates.
